Our sweet little girl has not been blessed with an abundance of hair. She follows in her mothers footsteps who had little hair as a baby as well. Now that she is growing more hair, she still looks bald most of the time because her hair is so blonde. At bath time we had some fun and the hair was styled into a mohawk.

Hmmm. . . what's this?

Today I did 4 loads of laundry. I usually try to spread it out and do a little at a time but not today. I put Katherine on the bed while I was sorting the laundry and it was the most fun thing she did all week. She had a ball playing with all of our socks and underwear and unsorting the laundry I had just sorted.

Katherine is doing much better at eating solid foods. She is finally taking to it though she does not miss it when we skip a meal. Thursday she actually ate three meals. For breakfast she had carrots and oatmeal. For lunch she had apples and for dinner she had her new favorite food. You can see her with her new favorite food all over her face in this picture. No, it is not BBQ sauce and no, it is not chocolate. I will let Katherine give a big hug and a kiss to the person who correctly guesses what the new favorite food is. And, Nana, you are not allowed to guess because I already told you.

Hmmmm . . . what's this on my diaper?

Tonight Katherine had a huge blowout. I was in a hurry to change her diaper during a commercial break of the Amazing Race and it was close to bedtime so I just let her play in her diaper. She was so wiggly that I did not feel like wrestling her into clothes.

Oh, it’s the cover to my diaper. What does it do? 

Well, she discovered something really fun, the velcro on her diaper cover. You can see from the pictures the progression as she got her cover mostly off. We are going to have to make sure that she keeps her clothes on so she can’t reach that velcro.

I’m so proud of myself!

We went to Bible study at Heather’s house. She has a cute little stuffed rocking chair that had been her mom’s when she was a kid. Katherine enjoyed sitting in the chair and playing with the Cabbage Patch Doll dressed in an Iowa band uniform.

I was working at the desk in the den. Katherine crawled under the desk and started to play with my “Aggieland” yearbooks. Each one probably weighs as much as she does. It was really cute.

Asleep on daddy

I went to Bible Study and left Katherine with Sam. I came home and found this sweet picture. We both love it when Katherine falls asleep cuddled up to us but it does not happen as much anymore now that she is more mobile and wiggly.

A fun place to play

Katelyn’s grandma went out of town and she usually keeps Katelyn during the day. So, we kept Katelyn for the day. I did this about two months ago. It is so fun to see how much more fun the girls have as they are able to interact and play more as they are older. Last time neither was crawling and Katherine was barely even sitting. Now they are both all over the place, crawling and pulling up on things. It was a handful and both girls were exhausted by the end of the day. In the first picture Katelyn decided to crawl under the activity table. Of course she got frustrated and could not get out. In the second one the girls are playing tug-of-war with the burp cloth.

I love my puppy Hooligan. I have somuch fun watching her around the house. Sometimes it frustrates mommy because I would rather watch Hooligan than eat.

When I am in my exersaucer, she will walk around me and try to lick my face. It tickles, but I don’t really like it.

I am crawling on the floor now and I try to crawl to Hooligan to pet her. Either she will try to come lick me or mom will pick me up before I get there. I really like to pet her. She is so soft.
