Christmas Eve service

I know this was three weeks ago but I finally found the card reader for our smaller camera and downloaded these pictures. I will move it to the correct chronological place later. Christmas Eve our church had a wonderful morning and evening service. It was funny because afterward there were several families other than us that had planned to take a picture all dressed up at church with the large tree and nicely wrapped gifts. This is one of my favorite pictures of Katherine during the holiday season.

Katherine and Hooligan posing in front of the tree.

I was not sure how much a 10 month old would get into her first Christmas. Would she just sit there overwhelmed and not interested or would she get into the excitement of opening presents? Katherine was a blast!

On Christmas Eve we went to Christy’s parents house to open presents and have dinner.

The first gift Katherine opened was a small overstuffed chair with a Pooh bear in it. She went crazy. She climbed up into the chair and started babbling to Pooh. I have never seen her talking to animated.

She also received a lot of books, a dress, some soft blocks and stacking cubes. She was interested in all of them and would help unwrap her gifts. She especially liked taking the tissue paper out of bags.

Christmas morning Christy’s parents came over to our house for breakfast and to open stockings and see what Santa brought. Katherine again had a blast. She received a Dinosaur Roll Around that you put balls into and they go through shoots and stairs making all kinds of noise. She sat on the couch and would take each thing from her stocking and moms stocking and put them behind her. What a fun morning!
