The first year is full of firsts. You have the first smile, first laugh, first time to roll over, first steps (OK, we have not had that one yet).
This week Katherine had two firsts. On Monday she had her first tantrum! She has gotten frustrated or upset before but this was new. I was in the dining room and heard her crawling to the kitchen. All of a sudden I realized what she was going for - Hooligan’s food bowl! So I ran in there and scooped her up and brought her back to the dining room, where there were toys, I might add. She rolled onto the floor and started kicking her arms and legs. I could not believe it.
The other first was when she started clapping. This was kind of late for hitting this milestone but not long ago we realized that we never clapped so she had not had this modeled for her. In the picture she is actually clapping shapes together but she does it with just her hands as well.
