Katherine is a very well loved little girl so she had not one, but two birthday parties! On Saturday we had a second party for family members and a few close friends. Attending were both sets of grandparents, George and his family, Carissa and her family, Gary and Alysha and kids and Kathy and Sammy.
I decided to go all out and make the birthday cake myself. I borrowed Kathy’s cake decorating stuff - icing bag and tips - and gave it a try. Decorating a cake is harder than you would think but it turned out pretty cute and I had fun.
Katherine was not sure what to think of the cake with the candle.
She knew what to do with her cupcake this time though.
Katherine got a lot of great presents.
Here is a new toy for the tub. At the end of a bath it scoops up all the toys and the wather drains out when you hang it up. Plus, it matches her shower curtain with frogs, ducks and turtles.
She got a lot of fun books.
And Uncle Will, Aunt Jaime and Sophia gave her a guitar!
One of the biggest hits was Katherine’s new tent. We had all 5 cousins in there at once. Everyone had a fun time.
Katherine and Caleb are only a month apart in age, but look at that size difference.
